What to put on a veterinarian stamp
Pet owners, kennels, pharmacies and border officials may all read your stamp. Give them what they need to identify the clinic and the vet.
Clinic name
The name owners know, plus "Veterinary Clinic" or "Animal Hospital" if it is not obvious.
Example: PawsWell Veterinary Clinic
Vet name and degree
DVM or VMD in the US, BVSc or BVetMed in the UK, B.V.Sc. & A.H. in India. UK vets often add MRCVS.
Example: Dr. Lena Brooks, BVSc MRCVS
Registration number
From the body that registers you, such as the RCVS in the UK, a state board in the US, a State Veterinary Council in India or the Veterinary Council of Nigeria.
Example: Reg. No. V-7731
Services line
A short line on the bottom arc tells owners what you treat.
Example: Small Animals & Exotics
Address and phone
Add an emergency or out-of-hours number if you offer one.
Example: 22 Elm Avenue · 555-0129 · Emergencies 555-0130
Signature and date
A line for your handwritten signature beside vaccination and prescription entries.
Example: Vet: ____________ Date: ___/___

Size, shape and ink for vet stamps
Booklet boxes are small and the paper is glossy in some brands, so test before you order. Our article on how to design a medical seal goes deeper into clinical layouts.
Shape
Rectangles fit vaccination records and prescriptions. Round stamps with the clinic name on the arc suit bags and cards.
Size
Measure the booklet box; vaccination stamps are commonly 35 × 15 mm to 45 × 20 mm. A round logo stamp works at 35 to 45 mm.
Ink color
Blue or black on records, ideally a quick-drying ink for glossy pages. Reminder cards can use your brand color.
Legibility
Keep the vet’s name and registration number largest; kennels and pharmacies check those. Skip script fonts and the aging effect on records.
Icons
A paw print or a simple animal silhouette reads well. Never borrow a government veterinary service crest or seal.
Where vets use stamps
Clinic, farm and inbox all get the same design.
Pet health booklets
Record vaccinations and parasite treatments that owners show to kennels, groomers and trainers.
Farm visits
Stamp treatment notes left with the farmer, then add the product and date by hand; withdrawal-period records follow local law.

Frequently asked questions
What should a veterinarian stamp include?
Clinic name, vet name and degree, registration number, address and phone. Vaccination stamps add blanks for dates.
Can I use the stamp in an EU pet passport?
Only if you are a vet authorized to issue and complete pet passports where you practice. Follow the official passport layout and your authority’s guidance.
What size fits a vaccination booklet?
Measure the box first. About 40 × 18 mm is a sensible starting point; leave room for the vaccine sticker.
Can I digitize the clinic stamp we already use?
Yes. Press a fresh impression onto plain paper, take a well-lit picture and extract your clinic stamp from a photo. Rebuilding the text in the editor gives sharper edges.
How much does it cost?
Design and preview are free. Single exports cost $2.50 for PNG, $2.90 for PNG, SVG and EPS, or $3.50 for six formats. Multi-vet clinics can go unlimited at $15.90 per month, $119 per year or $299 lifetime, with designs saved to My Library.
How do I get physical stamps for each consulting room?
Export SVG or EPS and order self-inking stamps from a local stamp maker, one per vet with their own registration.
Do pet shops and pharmacies need different stamps?
Yes. A pharmacy dispensing pet medicines can use the pharmacy stamp maker. Pet shops and groomers will find loyalty and bag ideas on the shop stamp maker page.
