Cross, dove or your own church drawing in the center
Type your church’s name along the top arc, or choose a template further down and it will load into this editor. Choose a cross or dove from the built-in images, or turn a drawing of your church into a stamp and place it in the center.
The custom, logo and address layouts below adapt well to parish use; a single click opens one in the editor. A parish volunteer can also describe the stamp in a sentence to the AI custom stamp maker and refine what it drafts.
Templates are starting points. Click one to load it into the editor above, then replace the text with your own details.
What to include on a church stamp
Keep the wording simple and respectful, and use the name exactly as your diocese, denomination or registration records give it.
Church name
The full name, including the dedication if your church has one.
Example: St. Brendan’s Church
Town or parish
Useful when several churches share a dedication. It usually sits on the bottom arc.
Example: Parish of Eastbrook
Denomination or diocese
Optional, as plain text only. Never reproduce a diocesan or denominational seal.
Example: Diocese of Westmere
Symbol
A simple cross, dove, fish or a line drawing of your building.
Example: Plain Latin cross
Office or ministry
Separates the parish office from youth, music or outreach ministries.
Example: Parish Office
Address and registration
For letters and receipts. Add a charity number where your church is registered as a charity.
Example: 1 Church Lane, Eastbrook · Charity No. 7654321

Size, shape and ink for church stamps
Parish paperwork ranges from letterhead to old register books, so choose sizes and inks with care.
Shape
A round stamp feels traditional for the parish mark. Rectangles suit giving, registration and register-copy stamps, which carry lines to fill in.
Size
Round parish stamps are commonly 38 to 45 mm. Library stamps are usually smaller, around 30 mm, and rectangular office stamps about 55 × 30 mm.
Ink color
Black or blue suits letters and certificates. Purple or deep red can work for event cards and bulletins. For anything filed with long-term records, read up on stamp ink for archives first.
Lettering
A classic serif gives the church name dignity. Keep addresses and dates in a plain font, and avoid ornate blackletter for anything people need to read quickly.
Symbol and languages
Multilingual congregations can set one language on each arc, for example English with Spanish or Arabic; right-to-left text is supported. Keep the symbol simple so it stays crisp at 38 mm.
Where churches use stamps
Weekly administration, sacramental records and parish life.
Letters and bulletins
Recommendation letters, membership transfers and printed bulletins carry the parish stamp.
Giving and finance
Offering envelopes, pledge cards and deposit slips get "received" and "counted" marks.
Library and resources
Ownership stamps keep hymnals, study guides and children’s books from wandering off.
Click a template above or begin with a blank round stamp.
Step 2
Add the name and symbol
Type your church name and town on the arcs, then choose a cross, dove or uploaded drawing.
Step 3
Review with the office
Have your pastor, priest or parish secretary check spelling and wording before you export.
Step 4
Download
Once the preview looks right, download a transparent PNG for letters and PDFs, or SVG and EPS for a rubber stamp.
Frequently asked questions
What should a church stamp include?
Usually the church name, town or parish, a simple symbol and, for office stamps, an address or charity number. Keep the denomination or diocese as plain text if you include it.
Can we use our diocese’s coat of arms?
Only with the diocese’s permission. Coats of arms and seals are usually reserved for the bishop and diocesan offices, so most parishes use their own symbol.
Can the office stamp copies of baptism certificates?
Only copies drawn from your own parish register, signed by the person your rules authorize. A request for a record held elsewhere should go to that parish.
We have an old parish stamp. Can we digitize it?
Yes. Make a clean impression on white paper, photograph it and extract the parish stamp from a photo. Rebuild it in the editor if the letters have worn down.
How much does it cost?
Designing and previewing are free. Watermark-free files cost $2.50 per PNG export, $2.90 with SVG and EPS added, or $3.50 for all six formats. Parishes that need several stamps can take an unlimited plan for $15.90 a month, $119 a year or $299 lifetime.
Can we order a rubber stamp?
Yes. Any local stamp maker can work from the SVG, EPS or PDF export. A self-inking stamp suits the office; a wooden-handle stamp works for library books.
What about our charity work and Sunday school?
Food banks and outreach projects run as a separate charity can use the nonprofit stamp maker. Sunday school leaders will find praise and attendance stamps among the teacher stamp templates.
