Design your bakery stamp here

Begin with the bakery name in the empty stamp. If you prefer a ready layout, click one of the templates lower on the page and it appears here. Then add a wheat ear or whisk icon, curve a tagline under the name and try the aging effect for a worn, hand-pressed feel. Our stamp editor guide covers each setting.

Bakery stamp templates

Logo, custom and date layouts suit bags, boxes and order slips; pick one and it loads into the editor. If you can picture the stamp but not draw it, describe it to the AI logo stamp maker, for example "round stamp with a croissant and the words since 2015", then tweak the draft here.

Templates are starting points. Click one to load it into the editor above, then replace the text with your own details.

What to put on a bakery stamp

Packaging stamps are for recognition, so less is more. Working stamps, like order tickets, carry the practical lines.

Bakery name

The name above your door, in a font that matches your sign or menu board.

Example: Golden Crumb Bakery

Motif

One simple drawing reads better than a detailed illustration on kraft paper.

Example: A single wheat ear

Specialty or tagline

A short phrase for the lower arc of a round stamp.

Example: Sourdough & pastries

Ordering details

Website, phone or social handle, so customers can order a birthday cake next time.

Example: goldencrumb.example · 555-0133

Baked-on date

A blank date line for bags and boxes. It tells customers about freshness but is not a legal date mark.

Example: Baked on ___/___

Food business registration

If your food authority requires a license or registration number on packaging or receipts, add it to a separate working stamp, not the logo.

Example: Food Reg. No. 0000-0000

Stamps a bakery uses

Start with the bag stamp, then add the working stamps your counter needs. Change the sample text to your own.

Bag and box logo

A round stamp for bread bags, pastry boxes and paper sandwich wraps. One press per bag is enough to brand plain stock.

Baked-on date

Stamp the day’s bags or labels each morning. For production sheets with batch codes, see our batch-date stamp layouts.

Sample wording

Loyalty card

A tiny wheat-ear stamp fills each box. Ideas from these loyalty stamp programs carry over well to a bakery counter.

A rectangular stamp on order pads so every custom cake has a name, pick-up time and deposit noted.

Size, shape and ink for bakery stamps

Bakery packaging ranges from absorbent kraft to waxy glassine, and each takes ink differently.

Shape

Round stamps look classic on bags. A rectangle suits order tickets and date stamps. An oval gives a long bakery name room on narrow baguette bags.

Size

Bread bags and small boxes take a logo of about 40 to 50 mm; cake boxes can carry 60 to 75 mm. Loyalty marks are usually around 15 mm, and order-ticket stamps about 60 × 30 mm.

Ink color

Brown, black and dark red look natural on kraft; pastel boxes suit a brand color. Glassine and greaseproof paper resist ordinary ink, so test first or stamp a paper label instead.

Line weight

Fine crumbs of detail vanish on rough paper. Keep strokes thick, open up small counters in letters and avoid text under 2 mm high.

Logo and languages

Keep your logo’s full colors for online menus and social posts, and one ink for rubber stamps. Bakeries in bilingual neighborhoods can put the second language, including Arabic, on the bottom arc.

Where bakeries use stamps

From the morning bake to the weekend market stall.

Counter and orders

Loyalty cards, order tickets and "Paid" receipts keep the counter organized during the morning rush.

Wholesale deliveries

Cafes and shops you supply can sign a stamped delivery note, so both sides have a record of what arrived.

Frequently asked questions

Is it safe to stamp bread bags and boxes?

Stamp the outside of the packaging, not the food. If the inked surface could touch what is inside, ask your stamp supplier which inks are suitable for food packaging.

Does a baked-on stamp replace a best-before date?

No. A baked-on stamp is useful customer information, but required date marks, ingredients and allergen details follow your local labeling law.

I bake from home. What should my stamp say?

Your business name and logo for branding. The legal label for home-baked goods depends on where you live; in the US, each state’s cottage food law sets the wording, so print those details on a label and use the stamp alongside it.

My logo is an SVG file. Can I use it?

Yes. Convert your SVG logo into a stamp, then open it in the editor to add the bakery name around it.

What does it cost?

Designing is free. Removing the watermark costs $2.50 for a PNG, $2.90 for PNG plus SVG and EPS, or $3.50 for every format. Unlimited plans run $15.90 a month, $119 a year or $299 lifetime.

Can I get a large stamp for cake boxes?

Yes. Ask a local stamp maker for a wooden-handle stamp in the size you need and supply the SVG or EPS file; self-inking stamps rarely go above about 60 mm.

Which other pages suit food businesses?

Coffee bars and tea rooms can use the cafe stamp maker. Bakeries that also sell gifts or groceries will find return and receipt stamps among the shop stamp templates. Home bakers running a one-person business can add invoice stamps from the self-employed stamp maker.
